Matthew started his career with Sheraton, before attending the Culinary Institute of America. where he was awarded the Bachelor Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management. After graduation, he went onto manage kitchen operations at some of the most prestigious golf courses and country clubs in the US.
After the club and resort industry, he decided to join contract food service, specifically in the senior living and healthcare dining sector. He worked on companywide dining programs, standardized service training, and operated a R&D center dedicated to program and product development. Matthew was an integral part of elevating healthcare dining through culinary products, programs and operations.
HomeKook'd is the result of Matthew's desire to raise the quality and efficiency in food operations. The name comes from his desire to show everyone how to do it themselves. "Bringing them some home-cooking," as Matt likes to say. He knows food business owners and operators can benefit from his knowledge, experience and network.
